The oriental element in the logo this year is also to celebrate the fact that Chur Associates® is the Malaysian brand of legal services that intend bridge the Asian business culture with the rest of the world. The number “9” being the greatest of single-digit numbers; was historically associated with the Emperor of China as the Emperor's robes often had nine dragons and there is no coincidence that we are celebrating our 9th anniversary in this 2012 being the year of the Dragon! In the same oriental culture, we also wish to ride on the long lasting symbolism of 9 to deliver the CA as a green and sustainable brand of services.

Many years ago when things didn't go the way that I wanted and I was both lost and burned out, I had a sudden urge to drop everything and book the next flight to Kota Kinabalu to climb the highest mountain in South East Asia. I was looking for the enlightenment in the rainforest to move forward in life and everything I do then. However, my logic then got the better of me and I was not crazy enough to make the trip. It is indeed very uncharacteristic of me to be 'irresponsible' and run away.

However, the vision of conquering the pinnacle of this majestic mountain has stayed with me since.

We wish to inform that our office will be closed on 15 June 2012 for our Firm’s Internal Training Program.

We shall resume business on 18 June 2012.

Catizens take on Coach Nick “one-on-one” in May.

When I was young, I struggled to name who are my best friends. I used to cry alone at nights for the fact that I am always on everyone's list and never as the very first few names.

It seems like I was always a good friend but not the best of friends.

When I was older, I always felt that I am unable to focus on just one thing and I blame it on my ability to do whatever I want even all at the same time. I felt abnormal for not able to be happy by just doing one single thing and doing it really well. I guess I am a sucker of variety.

Our Chapter 3 under Coach Nicholas Chan in “Learning Communications and Conflict Management”, Catizens learnt how to handle conflict in a respectful and positive way. This session taught us to understand conflict as an opportunity for growth. As two people cannot be expected to agree on a particular issue every time, we learnt to face conflicts and disagreements with confidence and the different means to strengthen our team during conflicts.
