“Death is a single best creation of Life!”
I think those are the words of one iconic Steve Job in the “small matter” of the Harvard graduates a few years ago.
Steve cannot be more true in his statement as I am now watching live from the Staple Center for the memorial of Michael Jackson, the King of Pop. A truly special being in every possible way; the ONE that successfully breaks the borders of colour, race and ethnicity paving the successes of many like that of Oprah, Tiger or even Obama in a classic “freakonomic” interpretation. “We are the World…”
Michael has affected the life of millions all around the world. I typically grew up with his marks all over the more significant moments in my life. My only regret perhaps is the fact that I was celebrating my admission to the adulthood on the only night that Michael was casting his magic spell to his fans in Kuala Lumpur at the historic Stadium Merdeka.
As much as the genius that he was, Michael probably cannot foresee his death (no one ever will) as he is embarking on a tour for the last time. He even rehearsed frantically just days before his passing. Watching the video of him rehearsing, he is still the one and only King of Pop in every move that he made although not as energetic as he was. But isn’t style forever?
Long live the King in the better place and in the memory of all in the living world …
I always like the phase “live every day as if it is your last”. Tell that to the “Man in the Mirror” every morning, he will just move up a few notches for the day! Do you best today and never leave anything for tomorrow. Do not take anything for granted; everything you have can be taken away from you just like that ...
Remember today is a gift, that is why it is called “The Present”. Let’s celebrate!
(A special tribute to a great friend and a generous coach who gave lot of opportunities to many young entrepreneurial souls; who recently passed away gracefully before me at his very last moment in the loving company of family and friends. Perhaps, he missed the part when I told him that no mortal has ever been invincible…)
