If education is an equaliser as most of you would strongly suggest, technology is certainly an 'enabler'. Well, for a start, this is now 'written' in my all new albino BlackBerry (in white colour and how I like this Paradox of terms) just as I woke up in the middle of the night with a very active mind.

For many years, I have resisted changes in technology and now I cannot live without. I have delayed the need to have a mobile phone for as long until I have no choice and it is now unimaginable for one to get through a day without (even a day to a fair bit of stretch today).

I have also been suspicious of push mail's invasion into the quality of one's life and now looking back, how I wish I should embrace it much earlier (I did once but the speed and load was killing me then)!

So, there is pro and con in everything. It's always a matter of whether your glass is half full or half empty, isn’t it?

mj0710As the great Heraclitus so rightly enlighten the world more than 2,500 years ago that 'change is the only constant', yet human nature prevented us from stepping out of comfort zone throughout these millenniums and still going.

The survival mode that our mind operates in has kept us in our box. Yet the most inspirational of our kind are those courageous souls that have widened our horizon beyond imagination.

In another words, embrace change and you are embracing LIFE. Tell your mind that you are only following the eternal rhythm of all living things known to the world - Evolve or EXTINCT! And PERCEPTION dictates EVERYTHING - it's all in your head!

I was catching up with a client turned friend recently in person after a long time. He was lamenting how things was in the past that legal practitioner was always the 'stopper' that put roadblocks all over the place. But today he observes a new trend that this oldest profession known to the world is now changing to use legal compliance as 'enabler' instead. I am proudly a campaigner of this 'evolution'.

In substance, the paradigm shift from a 'NO' mentality that do nothing to a 'YES' and do something has cast a magic spell in life of many with hopes and possibilities!

Please rest assured that change is never easy but it is indeed simple, really!

Don’t we all grow since the day we are born from lying down to sitting to crawling to standing to walking to running? While we fall and fail along the way, but we learned and grow too!

Just imagine if our mind is so entrenched in the survival mode then, we cannot even walk today and that changes everything we ever know. We were fearless then to take the all important first step and keep trying!

This is what I have commented on a facebook wall post recently:

'Nothing is happening inside, let's go outside!'

Remember, expecting different result from doing the same things is pure insanity...
