My friends often think of me as someone who never take 'NO' as an answer. The fact is that this word has been abused by most people too frequently that I can no longer take 'NO' seriously!
This word has been used too readily now a day that perhaps the Oxford dictionary should start a new definition! I am almost certain now that 'NO' is never a 'NO'.
If you get an immediate 'NO' as an answer, it only means that you have to rephrase your question and ask again. If you still get a 'NO', try again until u get a different answer. Believe me, u will get a better answer than just a plain 'NO'!
'NO' actually in today context means:
- 1. Not convenient;
- 2. Not now;
- 3. Not me;
- 4. Not you;
- 5. Not exactly;
- 6. I don't know;
- 7. Not in my 'Standard Operating Procedures';
- 8. Not within my power or authority;
- 9. Not my company policy;
- 10. Not interested; and Not ready to any other reasons that you can think of.
I am the devotee of 'There is a will, there is a way'. I also know that you always need to invest some efforts to see the 'way' clearly.
Similarly, I am sure you can relate to 'A Yes is Not a YES'.
